Supermarkets & Shops
There are two good sized supermarkets (SuperSol and Supermercado) about five minutes drive away so its easy to shop for all your essentials during your stay. Both supermarkets carry excellent fresh produce and have good wine selections.
It’s worth noting that both supermarkets are closed on Sundays, however there is a mini-market in the nearby village of Torreguadiaro which is open on a Sunday during the main season and provides a selection of essentials and also English papers and fresh breads.
There is also a newsagents shop just past the El Octogano tennis club in the marina, about 10 mins walk from the apartment, which sells most of the main English, Irish and European langauge newspapers and magazines. This is open all week but closed on Sunday afternoon.
The marina has a further selection of shops ranging from gifts to homewares, art and jewellery and is well worth a browse.
On a Sunday there is a market on the paseo outside Ribera Marlin with many stalls selling clothing, antiques, art, leather goods and jewellery. The market is well worth a visit as many items are of a much better quality than normaly found and there is a selection of cafe/bars to stop at along the way for refreshments or lunch!
